The Royal Columbian Hospital three-phase redevelopment project is one of the largest government-funded health care ventures in B.C history. The tower being built will allow for 655,000 square feet of space, a new emergency department, and room for 350 beds. The new emergency department will have 75 treatment spaces, additional operating rooms, a larger maternity unit and radiology and cardiac suites. Once this project is complete, it will transform all aspects of the hospital and ensure life lifesaving services are available immediately to all people in the region.

Securiforce was brought onto the project in 2020, providing security guards for various areas of the construction site. Duties included PPE enforcement of all trades, guiding civilians to the designated walkways and ensuring the general security of all assets on the project. Later in 2020, Securiforce also began Live video surveillance at the construction site. This allowed trained monitoring operators to view all areas of the construction site in real-time and help assist security guards in spotting unusual/suspicious activity. Securiforce is proud to have successfully detected and deter all suspicious activities at this project, until date.
