Burnaby Hospital redevelopment

The $1.4 billion Burnaby Hospital redevelopment project is among the province’s largest health care investments. It will see two new patient care towers, new cancer center, and expansion to existing buildings on campus. This will allow residents in this growing community to continue having quality care. The project will be done in multiple phases, with phase 1 being the expansion of the emergency department and procedure rooms. Phase 2 will include the construction of the patient care towers, and cancer center.

Securiforce was awarded this project in 2022, providing security guards for various areas of the construction site. Duties included PPE enforcement of all trades, guiding civilians to the designated walkways and ensuring the general security of all assets on the project. Securiforce also began Live video surveillance at the construction site. This allowed trained monitoring operators to view all areas of the construction site in real-time and help assist security guards in spotting unusual/suspicious activity. Securiforce is proud to have successfully detected and deter all suspicious activities at this project, until date.
