Metro Vancouver built a new water main in the City of Surrey to continue delivering clean, safe drinking water to the growing community south of the Fraser River. The 148 Street Water Main was comprised of two sections: The Port Mann Section and the Whalley Section. Construction also included two underground valve chambers along the water main alignment.

Securiforce was responsible for security of both sections. With the construction occurring in one of the busiest areas of Surrey, Securiforce personnel were constantly having to adapt to the dynamic of the project. The scope of our services included communicating with civilians in the area and ensuring they followed the correct walkways and stayed away from the potentially dangerous equipment laying around the project. Our trained staff also ensured that all equipment/material remained secure after hours. Our proprietary guard tracking system allowed us to provide real-time security updates to city stakeholders and the general contractor, alerting them of any incidents that required attention immediately.
